Small Greek owners are emerging as keen buyers of ageing vessels being shed by Maersk Tankers as it renews its fleet amid a weaker spot market for smaller carriers.
Monte Nero Maritime has emerged as the new manager of the 109,300-dwt Maersk Prosper (built 2001). Maersk Tankers previously confirmed that it sold the vessel in January, without revealing the buyer or the price.
