The joint venture company, Golden Stena Bulk has decided totake up an option to acquire another two of the series of ten 50,000-dwtadvanced products tankers that the Swedish owner has ordered at GuangzhouShipbuilding International (GSI) in China.
In February it was announced that Golden Stena Bulk hadtaken over the first four contracts to be delivered in 2014 and 2015.
The ships are costing $40m each and promises 10 to 15% lowerfuel consumption compared with standard tonnage.
