Shipbroking group SSY has entered a new sector by hiring rival shop Braemar’s head of ship recycling.
Broker Harry Conrad-Pickles will start at SSY in Dubai on 10 April.
SSY said it was entering the demolition market in anticipation of the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, set to take effect in June.
