Christen Sveaas-controlled Viking Supply Ships (VSS) has exited the bulker and platform supply vessel (PSV) markets by selling five ships.

The Swedish company said the 3,300-dwt PSVs Frigg Viking and Idun Viking (both built 2003), laid-up in Uddevalla, have gone to an unnamed buyer.

An agreement has also been entered into to dispose of the remaining three small bulkers, which represent the rump of the wound-down Rederi AB Transatlantic business.
