Major Greek tanker company Pantheon Tankers is shedding older tonnage, making way for a dozen newbuildings.

The Anna Angelicoussis-controlled outfit has parted with a 15-year old VLCC and a 16-year old suezmax, raising close to $45m in the process.

Several brokers in Greece and the UK said the 318,300-dwt Sea Lynx (built 2004) has gone to unidentified Thai buyers for $31.5m.
