China has claimed back the crown as the world’s largest shipbuilding nation.
Its shipyards are now sitting on the biggest orderbook worldwide despite trailing behind South Korea during the first three months of the year.
According to Clarksons’ World Shipyard Monitor, China’s backlog amounted to 25.9 million cgt at the end of September.
Positive sentiment in the dry bulk market brought a steady stream of bulker orders.
