A proposed bi-partisan bill that would require transport of American oil and gas exports on US-built ships is receiving wide support from the US maritime industry.
The measure “Energizing American Shipbuilding Act” was introduced earlier this week by Mississippi senator Roger Wicker and California representative John Garamendi.
“China, India, and other nations are investing heavily in their shipbuilding capacity," Wicker said.
