Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings is China’s busiest shipyard, with an order backlog of 9.6 million dwt, or 116 newbuildings, as of the end of August, according to London broker Clarksons. Bulkers made up more than half of the shipyard’s orderbook, followed by containerships.

Yangzijiang executive chairman Ren Yuanlin tells TradeWinds he is confident his shipyard will achieve the $2bn order target for this year.
