China's Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding is hopeful that Ocean Tankers will take delivery of 16 tanker newbuildings, despite a debt crisis for affiliated outfit Hin Leong Group.
A source familiar with Fujian Mawei said the Chinese shipbuilder is in contact with the Singaporean company over the delivery of a dozen 23,500-dwt product carriers and four 11,000-dwt IMO II chemical tanker newbuildings.
