A coronavirus outbreak has forced a three-day closure at South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

Close to 70 shipyard workers are said to have tested positive for Covid-19 since the first case emerged a week ago.

A DSME official confirmed the outbreak, saying the Okpo-based yard was closed over the weekend and on Monday to allow for testing.

“But there is a plan to resume work at the shipyard tomorrow [Tuesday],” he said.
