A strong increase in demand from the shipbuilding sector has sparked fresh optimism among Germany's marine equipment suppliers.
The “clear recovery” this year signalled by a surge in orders contrasts with a disastrous 2020 during which orders to suppliers fell by more than 10%.
That was mirrored in a 4.9% drop in turnover generated by around 400 German manufacturers to €10.5bn
