Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) said it has secured an order for six 15,000-teu containership newbuildings from an Asian company.

The company, which said the deal is worth KRW 900bn ($823m), is to start delivering the vessels in the first half of 2023.

The Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings unit, which controls shipyards within the group, did not disclose the identity of the shipowner behind the contract for the neo-panamax containerships.
