Pantheon Tankers Management of Greece is in talks with Samsung Heavy Industries for two 158,000-dwt crude oil tanker newbuildings, according to shipbuilding sources.

TradeWinds is told that the owner plans to order conventional tankers and will not be installing scrubbers. The deal does not include any options.

“Pantheon is keen to order the newbuildings as it is attracted by current low shipbuilding price. It also has the appetite to grow its fleet,” a shipbuilding player said.
