Stena Bulk is said to be entering the methanol tanker sector with an order for newbuildings that will also run on the fuel.
Shipbuilding sources said the Swedish outfit has inked a letter of intent for up to four 50,000-dwt methanol carriers at its favourite Chinese shipbuilder, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI).
The contract is said to be worth about $152m and covers two firm vessels plus two optional ships.
