Commercial shipping will not return to the Red Sea in significant numbers for months despite the embattled Houthi rebel group promising to end missile attacks against US-linked vessels, according to industry sources.
The agreement struck on Tuesday was described as a Houthi capitulation by President Donald Trump and followed weeks of US bombing of targets in Yemen that reportedly killed numerous Houthi leaders.
