Kyklades plots return to VLCC market after 12 years out

Kyklades Maritime is believed to be lining up its first foray into the VLCC sector in more than a decade.

Speculation in the market is that the Greek owner is plotting an order for up to four newbuildings at Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.

Kyklades is looking to place a contract for two 319,000-dwt crude tankers and secure options for two more, multiple shipbroking sources tell TradeWinds.
