Norwegian tanker owner Champion Shipping logged a loss last year, but the company said it had higher revenues than listed peers in the MR tanker segment.
"The market was challenging for us, as for all companies involved in the product tanker market," said shipowner Karl Lodrup Kvalheim, who is chairman of the private Bergen-based company.
Operating company Champion Tankers runs 21 vessels of about 50,000 dwt.
