Market sources in Athens are pouring cold water on market reports about Chandris (Hellas) selling its oldest VLCC for conversion in Japan.
Some brokers reported this week that the 304,700-dwt Britanis (built 2002) is being purchased by Modec at an undisclosed price.
Managers at Modec or Chandris did not immediately respond to comment on the information.
