A select group of big-name shipowners are circling key assets in the fleet of Brightoil.
The main focus has been on the company’s five modern VLCCs, which were built at Hyundai Heavy Industries and could fetch $63m to $65m each in today’s market.
A number of potential buyers have inspected the ships, including Frontline, Eastern Mediterranean Maritime and Eastern Pacific.
