Faerder Shipping of Norway is reportedly in the process of concluding an order for up to four suezmax tankers at Daehan Shipbuilding in South Korea.

The deal involves two firm ships and two options, European shipbrokers said.

The 158,000-dwt tankers are costing some $62m each and will be fitted with scrubbers.

Shipbrokers claim the newbuildings will be taken on time charter by Californian oil company Chevron.
