MR product tanker earnings in the US Gulf have surged this week after the tonnage situation tightened on strong Latin American demand for clean petroleum products.
For the TC14 US Gulf-UK/Continental Europe route, daily time charter equivalent rates were assessed by Galbraith's at $6,640 on Wednesday, up from $1,036 on Monday and the highest in 2018.
Poten & Partners assessed the daily TCE earnings for the US Gulf-east coast of South America trade at $13,100 on Wednesday, up from the week-ago level of $9,600.
