Chemical tanker owner Odfjell has posted a bigger loss in its third quarter but believes 2018 is the start of better things for its markets.

The Norwegian company said the net deficit was $31.2m, a slump from $10.5m in the same period of 2017.

Gross revenue edged up to nearly $209m versus $208m a year ago, but Odfjell booked $16m of losses related to the sale of its Rotterdam terminal in September.
