Tangerang-based Pelayaran United Maritime Jaya (PUM) has sold its only large tanker to Singapore-based cash buyer Somap International for onward sale for recycling.
The Jurong Shipyard-built, 30,700-dwt products tanker Kartika Segara (built 1998) has been handed over to Somap at a shipyard on the Indonesian island of Batam and renamed S Segara.
Somap officials were unable to say what its demolition destination will be.
