Donald Trump’s latest sanctions swipe at Iran is unlikely to send tanker rates spiking in the same manner as his previous action last year, a leading shipbroker says.

The US president last week shocked the market with a decision to end all waivers on Iranian sanctions when they expire on 2 May 2019.

As TradeWinds has reported, the move was largely digested as being positive for the tanker market.
