Andreas Martinos-led Minerva Marine is understood to be splashing out close to $200m on aframax tanker newbuildings.

Martinos is making the move at a time of growing interest among Greek owners for new aframaxes after a quiet period for newbuilding orders in the sector.

Shipbuilding sources said Minerva will be ordering up to four 115,000-dwt crude tankers at South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding.
