Chinese industrial company Landbridge Group is extending its cooperation with Western partners by locking one of its VLCCs into a time charter with trader Trafigura for up to five years.

European brokers said the Geneva-headquartered trader has fixed the 308,000-dwt Landbridge Glory (built 2019) for three years at $36,500 per day, with options to extend at undisclosed rates.

The charter is in line with Oslo broker Fearnleys' $37,000-per-day assessment for a three-year charter of a VLCC.
