The dispersal of troubled fuel trader Brightoil Petroleum’s arrested fleet has begun with one large tanker sold in Hong Kong and another two due to go under the hammer in Singapore early next month.

The High Court of Hong Kong sold the 318,000-dwt Brightoil Glory (built 2012) on Monday. Brokers in the Chinese special administrative region have suggested it has gone to a single-ship entity connected with Greek interests.
