Under theagreement Geneva-based company says it will purchase Dar Blend crude oilfrom the world’s newest country.
The crude willbe delivered to Port Sudan for export via pipeline. Dar Blend crude oil productionis expected to start in the next few days.
Trading houses have jostled for access to SouthSudan’s low sulphur oil, which is sought by Asian buyers.
Details of the exportvolumes and the value of the deal between Trafigura and South Sudan were notimmediately available.
