Tankers International has revealed a growth of Middle East Gulf crude shipments on sanctioned VLCCs.
But the London-based pools company believes this trend could reverse if the US ramps up pressure on the Iranian oil industry.
The pool’s VLCC fixture data shows the changing nature of exports from the region since 2022: a rise in sanctioned oil flows and a corresponding drop in compliant volumes.
