Petrobras will continue to pare down its tanker fleet as it explores options on replacing the lost tonnage.
On Tuesday, during an online presentation about rolling out its new four-year plan, the company said it had already withdrawn 12 ships from its fleet, primarily owned by subsidiary Transpetro, and intends to remove another five from trading in the near-term.
"Some of them are being sold, some of them are being scrapped," said Andre Chiarini, the oil major's trading and logistics chief.
