US-listed Castor Maritime is on course to break the $300m mark on acquisitions in the bulker and tanker secondhand markets.

Greek brokers have linked the Cyprus-based company to up to five ship purchases under negotiation, in addition to three acquisitions the company confirmed earlier this month.

The biggest of Castor's reported new deals concerns a trio of LR2 tankers in the fleet of Hong Kong-based Cido Shipping.
