Champion Tankers of Norway has been named as the buyer of an MR tanker sold off to pay back restructuring of Alpha Adriatic's debt.
Croatia's Alpha said it has delivered the 53,000-dwt Pomer (built 2011) to Champion, freeing it of any obligation to its lenders, led by Credit Suisse.
The company, formerly known as Uljanik Plovidba, added that the handover took place at the Malaysian port of Tanjung Pelepas.
