China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has agreed a deal in China to order four VLCCs worth a combined $331.8m.
The company confirmed the order at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co (DSIC) in a statement on Wednesday.
The 307,000-dwt vessels will be "energy-saving and environmentally-friendly", it said.
