Norwegian shipowner EGD Shipolding and larger compatriot Odfjell are teaming up to buy an 11-year-old chemical tanker.

The duo are involved in a joint venture that is buying the 33,000-dwt tanker Bow Hector (built 2009), according to Norwegian financial daily Finansavisen.

The Shin Kurushima Dockyard-built ship, which is controlled by Nisshin Shipping of Japan, has gone for an undisclosed price.
