Norway's EGD Shipholding has emerged as the sole owner of a chemical tanker purchased in a February deal.

The diversified Bergen-based company's parent, Espen Galtung Dosvig-owned EGD Holdings, said in its annual report that compatriot Odfjell has taken the 33,000-dwt tanker Bow Hector (built 2009) on a long-term charter.

The charter includes profit share provisions, sources told TradeWinds.

Reports earlier this year indicated that EGD Shipholding and Odfjell, a chemical tanker giant, had teamed up to buy the stainless-steel vessel.
