Greek shipowners return to Russian tanker trade as oil price plunges

Greek shipowners piled back into the Russian oil trade in March as oil prices slumped and the Kremlin faced a new sanctions squeeze on its shadow fleet.

Half of the tankers that left the key Baltic Sea port of Primorsk in March, hauling crude or oil products, were Greek-owned or operated as falling oil prices opened the door to trading without breaching sanctions, according to TradeWinds research.
