Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries has secured an order for three tanker newbuildings from a European company.

In a regulatory filing, Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co (KSOE) said the Mokpo-based shipyard has signed a deal to construct three ships worth a total of KRW 220.5bn ($198.6m), which prices the tankers at $66.2m each.

The shipbuilding price suggests the unnamed company has signed up for suezmax crude carriers.
