Iran has fired back at the US, blaming it for shipping disruptions in the Middle East Gulf, after President Donald Trump threatened to shoot and destroy Iranian gunboats.
"High-risk behaviours, which make shipping (in regional waters) insecure, have started since the adventurist and terrorist country of America and some of its allies came into this sensitive region," a statement from the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces released on Monday through state media read.
