Iran is planning to build 200 cargoships to boost its maritime industries.
Industry, mining and trade minister Reza Rahmani said the country will spend $300m on the project, the Tasnim news agency reported.
“In the country’s maritime industries development programme, we have provisioned the construction of 200 cargoships with an investment of $300m,” he was cited as saying.
