The Supreme Court of Namibia has given the go-ahead for the auction of a disputed suezmax tanker controlled by Marvin Shipping of Greece.

The 158,000-dwt Marvin Star (built 2009) is expected to be sold on 2 June via an online auction, according to Ariella Kuper of South African auction firm Solution Strategists.

This is the second time Kuper has been called upon to arrange an auction for the vessel that was arrested in the port of Walvis Bay in August 2021 following an application by private-equity financier Wilmington Savings Fund Society FSB as collateral agent and ACT Maritime LLC.
