The latest suspect identified in relation to Israel's devastating oil spill is an aframax sold by Libya's General National Maritime Transport Co (GNMTC) in December.

Israel's environmental protection minister, Gila Gamliel, told a press conference on Wednesday that a Panama-flag vessel, the Emerald, was suspected of being responsible for a leak of 1,000 tonnes of sludge that washed up on the country's Mediterranean beaches in early February.
