Russia's Lukoil has boosted its tanker fleet in a deal with German owner GEFO.

Brokers said it has bought the 3,100-dwt duo Puccini and Rossini (both built 1998) and renamed them G Puccini and G Rossini.

VesselsValue rates the ships as worth $1.79m and $1.76m respectively.

GEFO confirmed the sale to TradeWinds.

The Russian oil company now controls a fleet of 15 vessels, including tankers, an FSO and a heavy-lift crane unit.
