Maersk Tankers has shuffled its management pack following the appointment of Christian M Ingerslev as chief executive.

Claus Gronborg has taken up the role of chief commercial officer at the world’s fifth largest products tanker owner.

Gronborg, who previously headed Brostrom and Maersk’s VLCC fleet, will oversee chartering and operations, a statement said.

Ingerslev says Gronborg has been in charge of the company’s “taking lead” strategy from his former position as head of business development and his trading and risk management experience will further raise the company’s commercial capabilities.
