Denmark's seemingly doomed Nordic Shipholding has not yet given up hope of finding a white knight to ride to its rescue.

The Nasdaq OMX-listed company said on Monday that it had put its fleet up for sale after merger talks with unnamed third parties had stalled.

The Knud Pontoppidan-chaired product carrier specialist said extensive discussions had been held with potential partners and its lenders to try to secure the long-term viability of the group.
