Three chemical tankers from the Chembulk and Odfjell fleets are reported to be heading for new careers under Asian ownership.

The largest of the trio, Chembulk's 20,600-dwt stainless steel chemical tanker Chembulk Gibraltar (built 2001), has been sold for $6.8m in a deal that is said to have been concluded at the end of last month.

While as late as last week most broking reports were suggesting that the Chembulk Gibraltar had gone to Vietnamese interests, the IHS ships register indicates that its ownership has just been transferred to Hong Kong-registered Chemmaster Tankers.
