Alafouzos family-backed Okeanis Eco Tankers has racked up first-half losses as its tanker newbuildings deliver into what has been a slow market for large tankers.

In second quarter results, OET reported a loss of $3.1m for first six months of this year, up from $400,000 in the same period for 2018, as the company continued to take in its newbuilding haul.
