Indonesian oil major Pertamina is soliciting scrap bids for one of its oldest product tankers.

It is inviting potential recycling buyers to submit offers for the 30,000-dwt MR1 Sele/Pertamina 3006 (built 1982) on an as-is, where-is basis in Indonesia.

The recycling sector ground to a near halt in the first week of 2023, with only one handysize container ship and a trio of small Chinese tankers included in the demolition lists of some broking reports published over the weekend.
