Private-equity backed Premuda has taken two Japanese medium-range product tankers on long-term charter.

The first of the two vessels, the 51,000-dwt Yufu Crown (built 2020), was this week delivered to the Genoa-based owner.

It is on seven year time-charter to the Italian shipowner, which has a purchase option after the fourth year.

The vessel is one of two product tankers built at Japan’s Minaminippon Shipbuilding that Premuda is taking on charter from Japanese shipping company Shoei Kisen.
