China’s Shanghai North Sea Shipping (SNS) has secured charter contracts for two shuttle tanker newbuildings that are under construction at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co (DSIC).

It has fixed out the duo to China Offshore Oil (Singapore) International (COOI) under a long-term period, and the total value of the contract is about $649m.

In a regulatory disclosure, CNOOC said its subsidiary China Offshore Oil International has entered a time-charter deal with Shanghai North Sea and chartered the 155,000-dwt dynamic positioning shuttle tankers (DPTSs) for 15 years at $59,250 per day.
