Energy major Shell is in talks with three shipowners over its project to put the world’s first LNG-fuelled VLCC into operation.
Industry sources close to the business said tanker giant John Fredriksen’s Frontline is working on the business along with Euronav and Evangelos Marinakis-controlled Capital Maritime & Trading Corp.
They said activity on the project has intensified with all parties engaged in extensive pricing discussions.
